Don Pasquale received 1 performance this season.

From The New York Times: "Arcangelo Rossi became ill during the performance of Don Pasquale at the Metropolitan Opera House last night, and as he sings the title role, some vigorous cutting was necessary. The first scene of the first act was entirely omitted, as was much of the last act. In the second act Mr. Rossi sang his part sitting in a chair. After this act Max Hirsch came before the curtain and explained to the audience that Mr. Rossi would be unable to sing any more, and that his part would consequently be cut out of the opera in the last act."
According to the Tribune, "Rossi was attacked by a weakness of the heart," which forced the cancellation of Act III of Don Pasquale. Dippel, nevertheless, sang Ernesto's Com' è gentil and Sembrich "made the rest good" by performing Arditi's Parla.
